Thanks to the uninterrupted production at STAR Oil Refinery, the capacity utilization by Petkim petrochemical complex of Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR in Turkey rose from 87.9 percent in 2020 to 92.6 percent in 2021, Head of the SOCAR Turkey Refinery and Petrochemicals Business Unit, director general of Petkim petrochemical complex Anar Mammadov said, Trend reports citing SOCAR.
“Despite the COVID-19-related restrictions, we continued supplies so that to prevent delates in production of export-oriented local producers,” he said.
Petkim petrochemical complex of SOCAR Turkey attaches importance to production of new products tailored to client demand and market feedback.
Currently, the petrochemical complex produces around 60 different types of products at 15 main production facilities and six auxiliary facilities. Petkim produces products of high demand such as ethylene, propylene benzene, orthoxylene, paraxylene, acrylonitrile (ACN), PTA, MEG, Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE), High Density Polyethylene (HDPE), Polyvinylchloride (PVC), Polypropylene and masterbatch.
