BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 3. The current projects portfolio of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in Georgia is estimated at 1.3 billion euros, Trend reports citing the EBRD.
EBRD's loan portfolio consists of 84 projects and a significant part is allocated to investments in sustainable infrastructure - 860 million euros, which is 64 percent of the total amount.
At the same time, 368 million euros, or 27 percent, are allocated to financial institutions, and 113 million euros, or 8 percent, to investments in industry, commerce and agribusiness.
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in 2021 invested 295 million euros in the implementation of 10 projects in Georgia.
Meanwhile, EBRD has been cooperating with Georgia since 1992. In total, the bank has invested 4.8 billion euros to implement 270 projects in Georgia.
