Editor-in-Chief of the Iran state newspaper Kava Ishtikhardi was again summoned to the Tehran Revolutionary Court today, the Iranian IRNA news agency reported.
Ishtikhardi is accused of publishing defamatory information. The next hearing in his case will be held on Saturday.
Last week, the trial opened against Ishtikhardi after a complaint was submitted by Mehdi Hashemt, the son of former Iranian President and Advisory Council head Ali Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani.
Hashemi Rafsanjani's children Mehdi Hashemi and Faiza Hashemi were repeatedly accused of organizing riots in the country, including protests against the results of the presidential elections held in June 2009.
