To provide reliable communications and broadband Internet services, Baku Telephone Communications network uses solutions routers, telecommunication equipment of companies Huawei, ZTE and Cisco, which enable to arrange DATA-network between ATEs at data rates from one to 10 Gbit/sec.
According to official statistics, about 62.5 percent of revenues accounted for mobile services, which increased by 3.9 percent compared to the last year's indicators and totaled 415.8 million manat.
According to the statistics of the ministry, 105 mobile phones fall to every 100 people in Azerbaijan, which is about 30 percent more than the average world indicators.
Over the past seven months, the cost of mobile communication services in Azerbaijan decreased by 30 percent, and the cost of roaming services, depending on the direction, decreased from 20 to 50 percent. Today, the price range of mobile communication services in Azerbaijan is approximately at the level of Eastern European countries.
Today, Azerbaijan has three GSM-operators: Bakcell, Azercell, Azerfon.
