The Head of the Central Executive Apparat of the Musavat Party, Arif Hajili, informed Trend that the Musavat Party has prepared an appeal to all opposition parties with regards to the rally scheduled for January 28th.
He stressed that the appeal will be sent to all opposition parties of Azerbaijan on behalf of the Musavat Party. The document calls on parties to participate in the rally on January 28th and support the action. We call on everybody to participate in the rally. Several parties have already supported us. The Azerbaijan Popular Front Party (Classics), Umid Party and National Democratic Party expressed their readiness to attend the rally. In addition, Azadlyg Block called on its members to take part in the action, Hajili said.
On January 28th the Musavat Party will hold an approved rally from the metro station Hazi Aslanov to Ukraine square to protest against price increases.
The opposition Musavat Party was created in 1992. The Head of the party, Isa Gambar, was the speaker of the Azerbaijani Parliament form 1992 to1993 and put forward his candidature in the 2003 presidential elections.
