The volume of export of goods to Azerbaijan supported by the Russian Export Center (REC) reached $53 million in the first nine months of 2018, Nuri Guliyev, head of the center’s representative office in Azerbaijan, told Trend.
Guliyev stressed that in the first nine months of 2018, the REC group supported projects within the supply of pharmaceutical products, civil engineering products, agro-industrial products and timber products (except for raw wood).
“The services were rendered in searching for partners, supporting Russian exporters funded from the federal budget, issuing free-sale certificates, supporting export supplies and research,” he said.
"The volume of supported export of goods to Azerbaijan in this area reached $8 million," Guliyev added.
Guliyev stressed that in 2017 the volume of supported export of goods to Azerbaijan reached $184.4 million, while the volume of supported export of goods to Azerbaijan within non-financial support reached $31 million.
He added that presently, the companies of the REC group rendered comprehensive support for the Russian-Azerbaijani foreign economic projects worth more than $800 million.
According to the Azerbaijani State Customs Committee, the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Russia reached almost $2 billion in January-October 2018.
At the same time, $509.98 million accounted for the export of Azerbaijani products.
The trade turnover between the countries increased by 20 percent in January-October 2018 compared to the same period of 2017.
