TEHRAN, Iran, Aug. 19
Trend:
Projects in Afghanistan have been suspended due to recent unrest in the country, said Bahman Salehi Javid Secretary of Iran's Association for Exporters of Technical and Engineering Services, Trend reports citing ILNA.
He went on to say that the Foreign Ministry warned the association regarding the latest status in Afghanistan.
“We have informed the companies exporting technical and engineering services about the situation,” he said.
Pointing out the Iranian projects in Afghanistan, Salehi Javid indicated that a few projects are semi-active now.
“One of the projects in which Iran won an auction is Kabul ring road, worth over $1 billion,” he added. “Unfortunately, the project is suspended due to insecurity.”
He said the export of Iran's technical and engineering services has been declining within the last few years.
