BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 23. The President of COP29 Mukhtar Babayev met with Japan's Deputy Minister of Environment Matsuzawa Yutaka, and South Africa's Minister of Environment, Forestry, and Fisheries Dion George in Wuhan, China, the official page of COP29 on social network X said, Trend reports.
“The COP29 Presidency had a productive discussion with Japan's Deputy Environment Minister Matsuzawa Yutaka on the sidelines of the Ministerial Conference on Climate Action (MoCA) in Wuhan. MoCA is a good opportunity for the parties to meet and make progress before COP29,” reads a statement following the meeting with the Japanese delegation.
During the meeting with the delegation from South Africa, the COP29 chairmanship team discussed expectations from the upcoming climate summit in Baku, its priorities, and its interaction.
