BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 28. The regulatory capital of the banks of Uzbekistan amounted to 82.4 trillion soums ($7.3 billion) as of November 1, 2022, which is an increase of 24.9 percent compared to the same period last year (65.9 trillion soums or $5.8 billion), Trend reports referring to the Uzbek Central Bank.

During this period, the capital of the first tier accounted for 66.8 trillion soums ($5.9 billion), which is an increase of 20.6 percent, compared to the same period in 2021 (55.4 trillion soums, or $4.9 billion).

The capital of the second tier as of November 1, 2022, increased by 47.7 percent and reached 15.6 trillion soums ($1.4 billion). As of November 1, 2021, this indicator amounted to 10.5 trillion soums ($933.1 million).

At the same time, the capital of the first tier accounted for 81.1 percent of the total regulatory capital, and the second tier accounted for 18.9 percent.
