By Emil Ilgar – Trend:

International Pergas Consortium is ready to cooperate with Iranian exploration and production (E&P) companies, the head of Consortium’s

office in Iran, Masoud Besharati said.

Pergas is ready to transfer technology, train specialists and invest, Shana quoted him as saying Mar.7.

Previously, the Consortium signed a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) by National South Oil Company (NISOC) and Pergas Consortium on November

2016 for carrying out studies over two oilfields in Iran.

The consortium comprises 11 European, Canadian and Asian firms as well as the Sharif University of Technology and has signed the NDA for

holding studies on Karanj (Asmari, Pabdeh, and Khami oil deposits) and Shadegan oilfields (Asmari and Bangestan reserves).

Pergas had already been involved in Iran’s South Pars phase 4 and 5 in 2002-2003. The phases produce 50 million cubic meters per day of gas and 80,000 barrels per day of gas condensate together.

Pergas established itself in 2000 as both service provider and procurement service to the oil, gas and petrochemical industry in the

Eastern Hemisphere.

Besharati said that now, during the post-sanctions era, Iran is a profitable market for Pergas Consortium.
