The Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) has been approved by the Supreme National Security Council of Iran, a senior Iranian MP said.

Head of National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of Iranian Parliament, Alaeddin Boroujerdi, said that the parliament has also been studying a bill to fill the gaps of JCPOA, Iran's Fars news agency reported on October 4.

Referring to the bill which was submitted to the parliament to study the JCPOA and measures which should be taken by the Islamic Republic in the implementation of the JCPOA, he said that the 6 negotiating countries passed legal stages for a final agreement, and it is Iran's turn to decide in this regard.

There are some flaws in the JCPOA, he said, adding that the JCPOA is the fruit of a national decision making. The Supreme National Security Council, as the highest source of decision making for political and military affairs, has approved it. Of course, the Supreme Leader's point of view is that the parliament should also take decision in this regard.

The JCPOA was reached between Iran and the group P5+1 (the US, UK, France, Russia, China, and Germany) on July 14. It will curb Iran's nuclear program in return for lifting economic sanctions.
