Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. D.Khatinoglu / The main opponent of the President of Pakistan Parviz Musharraf was removed a result of the death of the chairman of the Popular Party of Pakistan Benazir Bhutto, and the Al-Kaida took the responsibility for her death.
"The United States and Musharraf won most as a result of Ms.Bhutto's death," Iranian political scientists, as well as general director of the Asr-Iran information analytical agency, Jafar Mohummadi said. Bhutto died on Thursday shortly after a suicide attack targetting her vehicle at a campaign rally in the northern city of Rawalpindi. Early reports said she had been shot before a bomb exploded nearby. According to the Iranian Farsnews agency, the Al-Kaida took the responsibility for death of Ms.Bhutto.
Musharaf is considered to be the main ally of the United States in the region, stated Mohummadi to the Trend agency by a telephone from Teheran. The terror act was committed by the Al-Kaida, however Ms.Bhutto death was in favor of the United States and Musharraf, Mohummadi said.
Ms.Bhutto stood against the Al-Kaida recently, though she gave a shelter to the organization when Ms.Bhutto took the Prime Minister post. "The radical Al-Kaida organization removed Ms.Bhutto. I believe that the United States will reinforce interference to this country," Mohummadi said.
Another Iranian political scientist Alirza Nourizadeh stated to the Trend agency that the death of Ms.Bhutto will be harmful for Musharraf most of all. Musharraf needed in Ms.Bhutto's help in order to improve intension situation in the country. According to Nourizadeh, Ms.Bhutto did not support the Al-Kaida, but the Taliban government of Afganistan, which is connected with the former policy of Pakistan.
