S.Agayeva / Azerbaijan is not against the opening of representative various businesses of which function in Iraq as long as their operation does not contradict the existing Azerbaijani legislation and international principles, Khalaf Khalafov, the Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan, said to journalists commenting on the position of Azerbaijan concerning Iraqi Turkmans' intentions to open representative businesses in Baku.
The present instability and military contradictions cause danger in Azerbaijan and Baku sent its forces to Iraq to provide assistance to Iraqis, the deputy minister said. Azerbaijan does pay attention to events taking place in the region. Cultural ties, language, traditions and casualties connect Azerbaijanis with Turkmans, Khalifov said.
