Russian companies started barley exports to Azerbaijan from the Stavropol region, Trend reports referring to the region’s Agricultural Ministry.
According to the ministry, over the past two months, a total of nearly 20,000 tons of grain have been delivered to Azerbaijan and Iran.
As the ministry noted, Russian Cofco International LLC concluded several contracts for the supply of grain to Azerbaijan.
Besides, according to the ministry, the main buyers of grain products from the Stavropol region are Azerbaijan, Georgia and several other countries.
In 2020-2021, over four million tons of grain products were exported from the Stavropol region. The share of exports by rail accounted for about 950,000 tons or 13,308 wagons.
Since July 1, 2021, the region’s entrepreneurs have exported over 358,000 tons of grain.
