TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, April 16. President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Andijan regional industrial fair, which presented about 500 products of 110 enterprises, Trend reports, citing the Uzbek President's Office.

The fair featured successful projects across various sectors, including automotive manufacturing, machinery, textiles, electrical engineering, digital technologies, construction materials, food production, floriculture, beekeeping, fish farming, and other industries.

The head of state reviewed a wide range of locally produced goods and cutting-edge developments and spoke with local entrepreneurs. He emphasized the importance of supporting successful initiatives and disseminating best practices nationwide.

At present, more than 11,000 industrial enterprises operate in Andijan province, representing more than 10 percent of Uzbekistan's total industrial output.

The region is home to 47 industrial zones, where 1,000 projects worth 2.3 trillion soums ( $184 million) have been implemented, creating 18,000 jobs. In 2024 alone, these zones produced goods worth 1 trillion soums ( $80 million), with exports totaling nearly $31 million.

Currently, 288 investment projects worth $1 billion are being implemented in the region.

This year, 119 new projects are scheduled to launch, expected to generate more than 4,000 new jobs. The export volume of industrial products is projected to reach $47 million.

Following the President's visit to Altinkul district last year, 16 hectares of land were allocated for the establishment of a furniture production cluster. The area now hosts over 100 workshops, 236 showrooms, and retail outlets.
