Uzbekistan’s Agrobank increases profit by 26.8%

Uzbekistan’s Agrobank, one of the largest banks of the country, received net profit of 7.443 billion soums in 2016 compared to 5.871 billion soums in 2015 (a 26.8 percent growth), according to the bank’s balance sheet audited in line with the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

The bank increased its assets by 24.1 percent to 3.883 trillion soums in 2016.

The share of the bank’s loan portfolio in the structure of assets was 78.9 percent - 3.062 trillion soums (a 36.7 percent growth compared to 2015).

The bank’s liabilities increased by 25.8 percent to 3.418 trillion soums.

The bank’s equity capital as of the end of 2016 amounted to 465.314 billion soums, having increased by 13.3 percent over the year.
