The Turkmen State Oil Concern “Turkmennebit” during drilling deep horizons of oil and gas bearing sources in the west of the country widely uses a powerful China-made drilling rig of “ZJ-70DS” brand, Trend reports with reference to the Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper.
In particular, the Korpeje Department of Drilling Work is increasing the pace of work. For the first half of the year, 14,176 meters were drilled, which is significantly more compared to the same period last year.
Moreover, the main volume of this drilling has an operational purpose, creating the corresponding work for the oil and gas workers of the Esenguly zone. Here, according to geologists, there are rich deposits of oil and hydrocarbons. This is evidenced by major oil and gas fields “Altykuyy” and “Kemer”, which were discovered relatively recently. Modern, powerful gas accumulation and gas compressor stations are used at these fields.
It was earlier reported that the state-owned concern in the promising area of Uzynada (south-west of the country), drilled the first ultra-deep exploratory well in the Turkmen history in order to search for new hydrocarbon fields. During the work, the drilling rig and equipment of the ZJ-70 DB brand also manufactured by China were used.
