Ankara reveals number of Israeli tourists in 2017

The number of Israeli tourists who visited Turkey in 2017 amounted to 380,415, according to a report of the Association of Turkish Travel Agencies (TURSAB).

As many as 224,568 Israeli tourists visited Turkey in 2015 and 293,988 in 2016, according to the report.

A total of 898,971 Israeli tourists visited Turkey over the past three years (2015, 2016 and 2017).

According to the report, the share of Israeli citizens in the total number of tourists who visited Turkey was 1.17 percent in 2017.

Turkey’s income from tourism grew 18.9 percent in 2017, as compared to 2016, and amounted to $26.283 billion, according to the Turkish Statistical Institute.

The message said that 77.4 percent of total tourism revenues accounted for foreign tourists, while 22.6 percent accounted for Turkish citizens residing abroad.

Turkey was visited by 32.4 million tourists in 2017, which is 27.84 percent more than in 2016.
