Grain growers are planning to harvest over 20 million tonnes of grain in Kazakhstan this year. President Nursultan Nazarbayev has visited the fields in the Kostanai region and met the farmers of the region, Caspionet reported. The President encouraged the villagers to continue to work in accordance with so-called "zero technology", which has become synonymous with great bread. Most of all the grain farms of the Kostanai region have started to use "zero" tillage technology. The result is obvious as the region annually fills the countries' granaries with a rich harvest making a significant contribution to the common round loaf of Kazakhstan.

"If we switch over to liquid saving technologies especially zero technology, it will guarantee a one and a half times increase in yield. That is, it does not need a plough, it does not need a cultivator and chemical steam either and I have calculated that Kazakhstan will earn 700 million dollars in this way", president said during his visit.
