BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, April 16. The next parliamentary elections in Kyrgyzstan are set to take place in November 2026, as confirmed during a session of the Jogorku Kenesh (parliament) on April 16, Trend reports.
Speaker of Parliament Nurlanbek Turgunbek noted that the elections will be held in due time, while Deputy Speaker Nurlanbek Sydygaliev also confirmed that there will be no early elections this fall.
“The elections will be held as scheduled,” he stated.
It was reported that, according to the Constitution and relevant constitutional laws, members of parliament are elected for a five-year term.
The current 90-member parliament was elected on November 28, 2021, with the seventh convocation beginning its work on December 29 of the same year.
To note, the next presidential elections will be held in Kyrgyzstan on January 24, 2027.
