TEHRAN, Iran, May 11. The production of Iran's Golgohar Mining and Industrial Company (GEG) has increased, Mine manager at the GEG Omid Mohtashamifar told Trend.
He pointed out that the two pelletizing factories in Golgohar Mining and Industrial Company are exceeding their production in the last Iranian year(started March 21, 2021), from five million tons to 12 million tons of iron ore pellet.
Mohtashamifar went on to say that the company's total productions in the last Iranian year were 28 million tons. Golgohar Mining and Industrial Company are supplying 30 percent of Iran's steel feed.
The manager stressed attracting foreign investment in mining exploration plans in addition to domestic contractors.
The company has signed agreements with domestic companies to renovate its machinery and partly import from other countries.
Golgohar mine No. 1 in Sirjan County at Kerman Province started exploring in 1991, the mine has 1.5 million tons reserves and its geological studies are still ongoing.
