Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has sent a congratulatory message to Chairman of the State Peace and Development Council of the Union of Myanmar Than Shwe on the country`s holiday, Independence Day, the AzerTaj state news agency reported.
In his letter, the President expressed hope that relations between Azerbaijan and Myanmar would continue developing "in an atmosphere of friendship and cooperation".
President Ilham Aliyev extended to Than Shwe his best wishes and friendly people of Myanmar peace and prosperity.
