Pakistani lawmaker on Saturday said that Iran is an influential country in international arena and world issues cannot be solved without taking the Islamic Republic on board.

Talking to IRNA, Senator Zafar Ali Shah of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz added that Iran has always taken a principled stance on regional developments and majority of the world respects Iran's position on world issues.

"Definitely, Iran being the chairman of Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) can play an important role on world problems," he said replying to a question.

The political leader said that Iran can also be very helpful in finding a peaceful solution to the crisis in Syria. The Senator noted that Iran holds an important position in the region. The PML-N leader said that unfortunately majority of the Muslim leaders is under western influence.

"They are implementing the agenda of West in their states," Zafar Ali Shah opined.
The Parliamentarian strongly believed that common man should be given presentation in Arab governments; otherwise the Muslims will not be able to counter anti-Islam conspiracies of westerns states.

"There is a need to correct the political system of Arab states," added the Senator.

He was of the view that the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has to be made effective because the organization has become a dead horse and failed to protect the rights of Muslims.

The lawmaker said that unity is the only solution to the problem of Muslims. The politician said that western states are trying to sow a seed of hatred among Muslims because they are afraid of the unity of Muslim Ummah. He said that they (West) call Muslims as trouble makers but actually they are afraid of the progress of Muslim world.
