President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev arrived in Gabala region on July 29, AzerTAj state news agency reported.
The President started his trip by visiting a monument to the national leader in the Heydar Aliyev park.
The park, whose total area is 2 hectares, got special irrigation system, modern benches and 4 new fountains.
Large-scaled construction and land improvement work is underway in Gabala like in Azerbaijan's other regions.
Several visits by the President to the region marked great positive changes and economic growth here.
The region's overall production has seen a big increase since 2003, with the agricultural production more than doubling. Nearly 8,500 jobs have been created in the region since 2003.
