Azerbaijan to increase expenses for judicial power, law enforcement agencies and prosecutor's office by 10 percent

The funds from the state budget allocated for the expenses of the judiciary, police and prosecutors will be increased by 70 million manat (9,9 percent) and amount to 7.83.300 million manat in Azerbaijan in 2011. It is envisaged by a draft law on amending the Law on State Budget of the Azerbaijan Republic for 2011.

The funds from the state budget allocated for the expenses of the judiciary, police and prosecutors will be increased by 70 million manat (9,9 percent) and amount to 7.83.300 million manat in Azerbaijan in 2011. It is envisaged by a draft law on amending the Law on State Budget of the Azerbaijan Republic for 2011.

The bill provides for expenditures on the judicial power to be increased by 311,000 manat, the law enforcement agencies - by 65 million manat, the prosecutor's office - 5 million manat in 2011.

The bill envisages that the increase in expenses this year will be aimed at providing law-enforcement agencies and other military units, created in accordance with the law, with weapons, meeting international standards, products, clothing and other military formations.

The construction-restoration operations will be continued. The salaries of employees of these bodies will be increased.

The bill will be submitted for discussion at the plenary session of the Azerbaijani Parliament on May 27.
