BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 28. A total of 74 companies with Chinese capital were registered in Türkiye from January through October 2022, the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) said, Trend reports via TurkicWorld.
This figure was 28 companies more than in the same period of 2021.
In the reporting period, the total capital of Chinese companies registered in Türkiye amounted to 100.9 million Turkish liras ($5.4 million), while in the same period of 2021, this figure was 354.1 million Turkish liras ($19 million).
During this time, 65 Chinese companies were listed in Istanbul with 32.1 million Turkish liras ($1.7 million) of overall capital.
Out of the total number of registered companies, eight companies are engaged in export, whereas 35 – in wholesale and retail trade. The remaining companies operate in other sectors of the Turkish economy.
