Commodity Exchange in Tbilisi will hold the first auction July 15. According to the head of exchange Alexander Gorgidzhanidze, brokers have been certified and have received certificates.

The authors of this initiative hope that after the exchange begins to operate, rates in the country will become more realistic and competitive, that is, exchange will create an opportunity for price regulation.

Experts welcome opening of a commodity exchange. However, some business representatives are skeptical. They note that the Georgian Stock Exchange will not be able to influence the process of price formation.

In his turn, Gorgidzhanidze notes that the exchange will have a regional loading. Contacts with different countries will be established. The main purpose of the exchange will be fair prices, he said.
