Kazakhstan’s revenue from the transportation of cargo, luggage and cargo luggage via road transport amounted to 127.6 billion tenge ($298.1 million) over the first nine months of 2020, which is 3.9 percent more than during the same period of 2019, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.
Revenue from the transportation of cargo, luggage, and cargo luggage via road transport in Sept. 2020 amounted to 16.7 billion tenge ($39.06 million), which is 5.4 percent more than during the same period of 2019.
The volume of cargo, luggage and cargo luggage transported via road transport during the reporting period amounted to 2.3 billion tons, which is 8.4 percent less compared to the same period of last year (304.4 million tons in Sept. 2020, down by 7.7 percent year-on-year).
Cargo turnover amounted to 113.7 billion ton-kilometers which is 14.2 percent less than during the same period of last year (15.04 billion in Sept. 2020, a decrease of 13.5 percent).
In turn, Kazakhstan’s revenue from passenger transportation amounted to 47.7 billion tenge ($111.5 million) over the reporting period of 2020, which is 40.1 percent less than during the same period of last year. September’s revenue from passenger transportation was 5.7 billion tenge ($13.3 million), which is 36.6 percent less than in Sept. 2019.
The number of transported passengers amounted to 7.2 billion people, which is 58.5 percent less than during the same period of last year (311.9 million passengers in Sept. 2020, down by 84.8 percent).
The passenger turnover amounted to 78.7 billion passenger-kilometers which compared to the same period of last year is a decrease of 62 percent. The passenger turnover in Sept. was 3.7 billion (83.5 percent decrease year-on-year).
