Kazakhstan boosts volumes of coal extraction over 10M2021

Kazakhstan has extracted 92.5 million tons of coal over the period from January through October 2021, which is 1.5 percent more than during the same period of 2020, Trend reports citing Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.

The report said that the volume of coal extracted in October 2021 stood at 10.5 million tons, which in turn is 1.7 percent more than in October 2020.

Furthermore, crude oil extraction including gas condensate was 70.02 million tons during the reporting period, which is 2 percent less as compared to the volume extracted during the same period of 2020. Kazakhstan’s October oil output was 7.6 million tons, which also is 10.5 percent more than during the same month of 2020.

Kazakhstan also extracted 44.1 billion cubic meters of natural gas during the reporting period of 2021 and 4.6 billion cubic meters in October, which is 4.3 percent less and 5.1 percent more year on year.

Fuel oil manufacturing volume stood at 2.1 million tons and 211,400 tons during the reporting period and October 2021 respectively, which is 19.8 percent more and 12.1 percent more than during the same period of 2020.

Kerosene manufacturing amounted to 488,400 tons over ten months (up by 39.6 percent) and 43,900 tons in October 2021 (up by 10.9 percent), whereas diesel manufacturing equaled 4.1 million tons over ten months (up by 7.7 percent) and 364,800 tons in October 2021 (down by 8.7 percent).

Hydrocarbon liquefied gases output was 950,900 tons over ten months of 2021 with an annual decrease of 6 percent, whereas October output was 84,100 tons (down by 29.7 percent annual).

Electricity generation over ten months of 2021 equaled 93.8 billion kWh, which is 7.7 percent more than during the same period of 2020, whereas the volume of electricity generated in October 2021 amounted to 10.01 billion kWh, which is 8.1 percent more year-on-year.

The volume of thermal energy generated from January through October 2021 amounted to 66.3 million Gcal with an annual increase of 7.9 percent, whereas October 2021 output was 7.3 million Gcal, which is 3.7 percent less than in October 2020.
