Iran’s non-oil trade turnover with Russia increases

BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 13. Iran's non-oil trade turnover with Russia increased by 17.2 percent in value and 49.7 percent in volume, during the first four months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through July 22, 2023), compared to the same period in the last year, Trend reports.

According to the statistics of Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA), Iran's non-oil trade turnover with Russia for the reporting period amounted to 2.03 million tons worth $974 million.

Meanwhile, the non-oil trade turnover between the two countries stood at about 1.36 million tons worth $831 million in the same period of the last Iranian year.

Within 4 months, the main goods traded between Iran and Russia were petrochemical products, agricultural products, glassware, industrial products, raw silk, cotton, wood, and wood materials, etc.

In the 4th month of the current Iranian year alone (June 22 through July 22, 2023), Iran's trade turnover with Russia was 571,000 tons worth $299 million.

Overall, the value of Iran's non-oil trade turnover was $35.4 billion within the first four months of the current Iranian year.
