BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 11. The non-oil trade turnover between Iran and Turkmenistan amounted to 1.04 million tons, worth approximately $366 million, in the first nine months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through December 21, 2023), Trend reports.

Meanwhile, Iran’s non-oil trade with Turkmenistan stood at over 1.06 million tons, worth around $371 million, during the first nine months and ten days of the last Iranian year, as was reflected in the data from the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA).

As reported, the IRICA has published the statistics for 9 months and 10 days of last year instead of nine months.

The main traded goods were agricultural and food products, industrial products, transformers, water conditioners, petrochemical products, petroleum coke, cotton, cloth, etc.

In the 9th month alone (November 22 through December 21, 2023), the two countries traded about 120,000 tons of non-oil goods worth around $41.7 million.

The IRICA's latest data shows that Iran's total trade turnover (both oil and non-oil) increased by seven percent in nine months compared to the same period last year and surpassed $112 billion. Iran had a trade surplus of $15.5 billion in the first nine months of the year.
