The Ministry of Transport is concerned in World Banks credits that the latter plans to issue under infrastructure projects, officials of Transport ministry told Trend. WB is going to issue Azerbaijan $200mln a year up to 2010 for infrastructure projects.
At the moment the bank is interested in funding new sections of highways Imishli-Beylagan and Muganli-Yevlkh.
The cost of 118km long road Imishli-Beylagan and 145km long Muganli-Yevlkh are estimated in $77mln and $95mln, respectively.
WB stake in these projects is not identified yet and is subject to discussion during the forthcoming talks. However, this time it will depend on the governmental policy for reducing foreign debts through raising governmental stake in the project.
