Officially Official: Nokia N810 Internet Tablet

( Mobile ) - Although I have yet to hold the device in my hands, the Nokia N810 Internet Tablet looks like one spiffy gadget that just about any tech-inclined geek would love to own. Now officially announced by the Finnish phonemaker, the Nokia N810 runs on a Linux-based operating system and comes with all sorts of goodies to display on its 4.13-inch 800x480 touchscreen.

For example, when you're ready to hop onto the web -- it is an Internet Tablet, after all -- all you need to do is activate the integrated WiFi radio and latch onto a nearby network. You can navigate either through the touchscreen or you can make use of the slide-out QWERTY keyboard. Not sure where you are? Check out the built-in GPS for easy directions. It's also got Bluetooth to boot.

Naturally, it handles multimedia without a hitch thanks to its 2GB of internal memory and support for both miniSD and microSD memory cards. Rounding out the specs are a TI OMAP 2420 processor (400MHz), 128MB RAM, 256MB ROM, stereo speakers, VGA webcam, ambient light sensor, and Mozilla-based web browser with Flash support.
