New government laying railway lines all over Iran's provinces

The new Iranian government is working to lay down more railway lines, to improve overall railway network across the country, Trend reports via the report of Iranian Ministry of Roads and Urban Development.

In particular, 57 kilometers of railway lines have been prepared to be installed during the three-month activity (August 23 through November 21) of the new government, said the ministry's report.

Railway infrastructure has been prepared for laying rails in Sistan and Baluchestan, Razavi Khorasan, Isfahan, Markazi, South Khorasan, Bushehr and Hamadan provinces of Iran.

Meanwhile, the ministry also pointed out that 64 kilometers of rails have been laid so far. The rails have been laid in Ardabil, East Azerbaijan, Yazd, Sistan and Baluchestan, Hamadan, Kurdistan and Kermanshah provinces of Iran.

The ministry says it is planned to lay 250 km of railway lines countrywide during the current Iranian year (March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022).

In addition, a number of new railway stations have been built in Iran on the 4,540 square meters of area within the period of August 23 through November 21.
