A telephone conversation took place between the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev and President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev, Ak Orda's press - service reported.
"Heads of State discussed the agenda of the upcoming summit meeting in Orenburg within the Forum of inter-regional cooperation of Kazakhstan and Russia, as well as a wide range of issues of development of bilateral relations," stated in the press release of the Head of State.
During the conversation, an agreement was reached to hold an informal meeting of the presidents of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Russia and Turkmenistan in Aktau, which will focus on the development of interstate relations and cooperation between the Caspian states, including the process of negotiations on the status of the Caspian Sea.
