ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, August 8. Turkmenistan is exploring the expertise of Uzbek customs in establishing a customs clearance center, Trend reports.

According to the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan, a delegation from Turkmenistan recently visited Tashkent to study the Uzbek customs system's experience in setting up a customs clearance center and to understand the operational principles of customs posts in Uzbekistan.

During the visit, the delegation toured the Customs Clearance Center, which was established in August 2023 under the Customs Committee of Uzbekistan. The facility includes a data processing center, a remote electronic declaration post, a call center, and departments for targeting and risk management. The information system is integrated with databases from foreign agencies, local ministries, external economic entities, and airlines.

Additionally, the delegation visited the external economic activity posts "Ark Buloq" and "Chukursay Tech Office," as well as the border post "Yallama," to observe the organization and operational principles of these customs facilities.
