In January-July 2013, Azerbaijan exported 491.21 million kilowatt / hours of electricity compared to 417.88 million kilowatt / hours in January-July 2012, the State Customs Committee (SCC) reported on Saturday.
According to the report, Azerbaijan exported electricity for a total of 19.82 million manat in January-July, compared to 20.71 million manat in January-July 2012.
According to the State Statistics Committee, Azerbaijan produced 12.11 billion kilowatt / hours of electricity in January-July 2013, which is 1.3 percent less than during same period of last year.
The power generation capacity of power plants owned by Azerenergy (production and distribution of electricity in Azerbaijan) exceeds 6,000 megawatts. There are more than 200 substations with a capacity of 500, 330, 220 and 110 kV, as well as 6 and 13 hydroelectric power plants on the balance of the company.
