Kazakhstan’s trade with the countries of the Americas has amounted to $2.2 billion over the period from January through September 2021, which is 28.6 percent more than $1.7 billion over the same period of last year, Trend reports citing Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.
Kazakhstan’s trade with the US amounted to $1.6 billion, which is 22.1 percent more than during the same period of last year ($1.3 billion). Kazakhstan’s export to the US was $613.1 million, whereas import was $1.01 billion.
Trade with Canada amounted to $237.4 million over the reporting period of 2021, which is 7.9 percent less than during the same period of 2020. Kazakhstan’s export to Canada was $172.1 million, whereas import was $65.3 million.
Furthermore, bilateral trade with Mexico amounted to $129.08 million, which is 2 times more than during the same period of 2020 ($64.8 million). Kazakh export to Mexico amounted to $18.9 million, whereas import was $110.08 million.
Kazakhstan’s foreign trade turnover amounted to $72.7 billion over the period from January through September 2021, which indicates an increase of 12.7 percent as compared to $64.5 billion during the same period last year.
