Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation announced a tender for construction of the 25-kilometer stretch of the Rustavi-Sagarejo main gas pipeline on Dec. 4.
The Oil and Gas Corporation said the companies willing to participate in the tender should have experience in construction of at least five kilometres of steel gas or oil pipelines.
The successful bidder should take into account all building codes and follow the legislative norms in the areas of safety and environmental protection.
The winning company must perform the work within seven months of signing the contract.
The preliminary cost of the pipeline's construction project is 3,593,913 laris ($2,109,208) VAT included.
Applications for participation in the tender will be accepted until Dec.23, 2013, 15:00 (local time).
