(Itar-Tass) - The new government of Ukraine, with Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovich at the head, begins on Monday its first working day, on which resignation surprises are not ruled out.

Already on Monday, some political parties intend to initiate a review of the government lineup, as they say posts were not distributed on a proportional basis.

Representatives of the pro-presidential Our Ukraine faction, which has got six ministerial posts, are most displeased. All posts in the higher echelon, as well as key ministries went to representatives of the Party of Regions, led by Yanukovich, reports Trend.

Justice Minister Roman Zvarych from Our Ukraine does not rule out he may give up his post in the government of Yanukovich. He told reporters he cannot be sure that he will stay minister as the system of counterbalance is not observed in the newly elected government.

Sources in Our Ukraine say other representatives of the faction, who have been appointed ministers, may also decide to give up their posts.

As for the Party of Regions, its officials believe Our Ukraine must be satisfied with the number of posts it has got in the government of Yanukovich. Its representative Vassily Gorbyl, for example, believes Our Ukraine has got as many posts as it gave votes when the cabinet was being appointed. This is about 30 votes of 80, he said.

Our Ukraine also demands public explanations from Interior Minister Yuri Lutsenko, who said earlier that he would resign if Yaunkovich were appointed prime minister.
