On Tuesday morning, an aircraft of Turkish Airlines leaving Istanbul for the Afghan capital of Kabul, made an emergency landing because of the risk of explosion, Turkish TRT Haber TV channel reported.
According to the report, pilot of the aircraft reported that a mobile phone was found in the cockpit during the flight. Assuming it is a remote-controlled bomb, he headed back to Istanbul.
After the aircraft made an emergency landing at Istanbul Ataturk Airport, the police and security forces inspected the aircraft.
According to the latest information, no explosive devices were found as a result of the inspection.
