BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 30. Ownership rights for 88,013 properties have been registered in Azerbaijan in the first quarter of 2024, down 32.2 percent year on year, Trend reports via the State Service on Property Issues under the Ministry of Economy.
The figure included 13,540 properties (15.3 percent) accounting for primary registration and 74,473 (84.7 percent) for re-registration, marking a year-on-year decrease of 39.1 percent and 30.7 percent, respectively.
A total of 12,786 objects, for which ownership was registered, were private houses and country houses, 19,234 apartments, 53,279 land plots, 744 non-residential buildings, 1,814 non-residential areas, 147 property complexes, and nine multi-story residential buildings in the specified period.
Of the total number of registered properties, 21,664 fell on Baku, and the remaining fell on the regions.
Additionally, over the past three months, 64,842 technical passports were compiled, and 16,537 mortgage agreements were registered.
To note, ownership rights on more than 477,000 real estate objects were state-registered in Azerbaijan last year, which is 25 percent more than in 2022.
