Türkiye reveals volume of LPG imports from Kazakhstan

ASTANA, Kazakhstan, April 30. The volume of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) exports from Kazakhstan to Türkiye in February 2024 amounted to 11,526 tons, Trend reports.

According to Türkiye's Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK), this figure decreased by 51.1 percent compared to the same month in 2023 (23,574 tons).

Kazakhstan's share was 4.52 percent of Türkiye's total LPG imports in February 2024 (254,876 tons).

At the same time, Türkiye's LPG imports from Kazakhstan from January through February amounted to 26,010 tons, which is 34.1 percent less than for the same period in 2023 (36,456 tons).

Moreover, Kazakhstan's LPG exports to Türkiye from January through December 2023 amounted to 201,151 tons, which is 19.2 percent more than for the same period in 2022 (168,769 tons).

Meanwhile, the volume of trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Türkiye amounted to $6 billion in 2023. The volume of trade turnover decreased by 5.3 percent compared to the same period in 2022 ($6.3 billion).

At the same time, in the structure of trade turnover, exports to Türkiye for the above period amounted to $3.9 billion, which is 16.4 percent less than from January through December 2022 ($4.7 billion).

In addition, imports from Türkiye from January through December 2023 increased by 27 percent and amounted to $2 billion. In 2022, imports amounted to $1.6 billion.
