ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, April 29. This season, Turkmen farmers aim to seed 480 hectares of land for potatoes in the Charjew district of the Lebap region in the country's east, Trend reports.
According to official data, this year farmers expect to harvest 14 tons per hectare of cultivated land in the region, which will total over 6,700 tons of potatoes.
In general, 1400 hectares of land will be planted in the entire Lebap region this season, from which it is planned to harvest about 19,600 tons of potatoes.
Farmers employ irrigation techniques, engage in inter-row processing, and utilize both organic and mineral fertilizers to stimulate growth and enhance crop productivity.
