Iran sends medical equipments to Yemen

Baku, Azerbaijan, Sept. 12

By Fatih Karimov - Trend: The Iranian Red Crescent Society has sent 107 tons of medicine and medical equipment to Port of Salalah in Oman to be dispatched to Yemen.

Mohammad Shahabeddin Mohammadi Araqi, the director for international affairs at the Iranian Red Crescent Society, said a logistics center has been established in Port of Salalah in cooperation with the The International Committee of the Red Cross and the Oman Charitable Organization, Iran's Fars news agency reported on September 12.

The center is tasked with dispatching aids from different countries to Yemen, he noted.

Iran had earlier sent five consignments of humanitarian aid to Yemen, including a total of 69 tons of relief, medical, treatment, and consumer items.
