Azerbaijan, Baku, 30 September / Trend corr. R.Novruzov / Azerbaijan's illegal migrant problem, who wants to get a refugee status in Germany, has been partially solved.
"At present, problem of illegal migrants is not so critical, as it was at the beginning of 2008. The problem has been partially solved," Pier Stankina, the German Ambassador to Azerbaijan, told Trend on 29 September.
The Interior Ministry of Germany is closely engaged in solution of the problem. The German delegation has visited Baku twice and negotiations were held on return of Azerbaijani illegal migrants, who asked political refuge from Germany. One part of migrants has returned to the motherland.
The Azerbaijani illegal migrants numbered to 6,500 people in Germany at the end of 2007.
Some part of refugees is Armenians, who pretending the Azerbaijani citizens try to get political refuge in Germany.
