BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 7. Civilian lives have been lost due to military crimes committed against Azerbaijan, Deputy Minister of Defense of Azerbaijan, Director General Agil Gurbanov at a high-level seminar on international rules in the management of military operations (SWIRMO) in Baku, Trend reports.
Gurbanov noted that military crimes have been perpetrated against Azerbaijan for over three decades.
"The civilian population and infrastructure, including kindergartens and schools, have been targeted. There is still no information on the fate of 4,000 Azerbaijanis who went missing as a result of these military crimes," he added.
The "High-Level Seminar on International Rules for the Management of Military Operations" (SWIRMO), co-organized by the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), serves as an important event for the organization, bringing together senior officers from over 70 countries.
