Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. Z.Safarov / The Azerbaijani national judo team will not attend the command European Championship, which will be held in Minsk in 27 October.
The European Judo Union has already announced the list of teams admitted to participate in the Championship.
Eight of the strongest men and women national teams of the Old World will participate in the Championship, including Russia, France, Georgia, Poland, Ukraine, Hungary and Israel. Should one of the teams refuse to participate in the Championship, Holland or Germany will step in its place.
The participants of the upcoming Europe 2007 Championship were defined as a result of the Championship held in Belgrade, during which the Azerbaijani athlete Kifayat Gasimova (57kg) was awarded a Bronze medal.
