BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 26. Iran’s non-oil exports through the customs of Bushehr Province in the south of the country, increased by 50 percent in value and 8 percent in volume, during the first nine months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through December 21, 2022), compared to the same period last Iranian year, an official of Bushehr Province Customs Office Reza Mehrjouei told Tasnim News Agency, Trend reports.

According to Mehrjouei, in total, 21.3 million tons of non-oil products worth about $10.9 billion were exported through Bushehr Province’s customs in 9 months.

“In 9 months, 21.1 million tons of products (excluding gas condensate) worth $10.8 billion were exported through the customs of the province, which is an increase of 51 percent in value and 8 percent in volume compared to the same period last Iranian year,” he said.

The official added that the main exported products were petrochemical products, mining minerals, fishery products, vegetables, etc. The mentioned goods were mainly exported to China, the UAE, India, Republic of South Africa, Türkiye, Pakistan, Mozambique, Nigeria, Thailand and Sudan.

Mehrjouei noted that in addition, more than 461,000 tons of goods worth $1.38 billion were imported through the customs of the province within 9 months, which is an increase of 38 percent in value and 28 percent in volume compared to the same period last Iranian year.

“The imported goods were mainly needed equipment and spare parts for Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant, various types of fabric, tea, various spare parts for cars, motorcycle and bicycle, etc. The mentioned goods were imported mainly from China, the UAE, Russia, India, Philippines, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Türkiye, South Korea and Japan,” he pointed out.

The official stressed that the income of province’s customs for 9 months amounted to 50.1 trillion rials (about $1.19 billion), which shows a 363 percent increase compared to the same period last Iranian year.
