Azeri Finance Ministry Selects Consultants for World Bank Project

The Finance Ministry of Azerbaijan has announced the beginning of the selection of five consultants within the World Bank project regarding accounting in the corporative and state sector. Payment for the service of the consultants will be made at the expense of the grant from Government of Japan for the development of human resources and policy.

The responsibilities of the first consultant include internal financial control in the state sector, analysis of gaps and preparation of strategic documents, etc., Trendreports with reference to the statement by the Finance Ministry.

The second consultant will prepare the strategy of applying the international accounting standards in the state sector. Its responsibilities will include comparing the State accounting standards with international accounting standards, defining potential benefits of the international accounting standards for the State sector, etc.

The third consultant will offer technical assistance in preparing the plan of strategic development for the Accounting Chamber of Azerbaijan. The plan covers the next three years and should belong to the Head of the Accounting Chamber.

The fourth consultant will provide expert support and consultation.

The activities of the fifth consultant will be directed towards organizing relations for the bilateral co-operation with the Accounting Policy Department of the finance Ministry.
